Urinary Protein Excretion Estimation quantifies 24-hour proteinuria with protein/creatinine ratio from a single urine sample.

To calculate the 24-hour Urinary Protein Excretion Estimation (UPPE).

Use to quantify the 24-hour proteinuria with protein/creatinine ratio from a single urine sample. UPPE is calculated by using the formula UPPE = Urine Protein / Urine Creatinine. Interpretation: UPEE <0.2 g/day Within normal limits UPEE 0.2–3.5 g/day Investigate further UPEE >3.5 g/day Nephrotic range

Not to be used in absence of stable renal function (GFR).
