To evaluate trunk stability in patients with neurological deficits.

The Trunk Stability Score is calculated based on evaluation of 3 areas: static sitting balance, dynamic sitting balance and sitting coordination. Scoring: Static sitting balance 0 - 7 Dynamic sitting balance 0 - 10 Sitting coordination 0 - 6 Healthy individuals should achieve a perfect score of 23. The Trunk Impairment Scale has been shown to exhibit sufficient reliability, internal consistency and validity for use in clinical practice and stroke research.
