To assess the official Rome IV criteria for the diagnosis of infant colic.

Use to assess the official Rome IV criteria for the diagnosis of infant colic. To fulfill the Rome IV criteria for infant colic, patient must have the following: 1. An infant who is <5 months of age when the symptoms start and stop. 2. Recurrent and prolonged periods of infant crying, fussing,* or irritability reported by caregivers that occur without obvious cause and cannot be prevented or resolved by caregivers. 3. No evidence of infant failure to thrive, fever, or illness. *Refers to intermittent distressed vocalization and has been defined as “[behavior] that is not quite crying but not awake and content either.” Infants often fluctuate between crying and fussing, so that the 2 symptoms are difficult to distinguish in practice.
