Mumtaz score for readmission in cirrhosis is an assessment score used to predict the 30-day readmission risk in patients with cirrhosis.

To calculate the Mumtaz score.

Use to calculate the Mumtaz score by addition of the selected points of eleven parameters: age, primary payer, Elixhauser Comorbidity Index, non-alcoholic etiology of cirrhosis, ascites, hepatic encephalopathy, variceal bleeding, hepatocellular carcinoma, paracentesis during admission, hemodialysis during admission and disposition. Do not use in patients on mechanical ventilation, under palliative care consult, status post liver transplant, those admitted electively for any reason or patients <18 years old.
