Corrected_Count_Increment_CCI_for_Platelet_Transfusion_guideline v.1

CCI formula= count increment, per µL × body surface area (m²) / unit content CCI interpretation: CCI at 1 hour >7,500 and, CCI at 20 hours >4,800 indicate successful transfusion (platelet transfusion refractoriness unlikely). CCI at 1 hour ≤7,500 and, CCI at 20 hours ≤4,800 indicate repeat transfusion. Two CCIs below the cutoff indicate refractoriness. Platelet count details need to be collected 1 hour and 20 hours after transfusion.

Corrected Count Increment (CCI) assesses the adequacy of response to platelet transfusion.

Use in patients undergoing platelet transfusion.

Not to be used to define platelet refractoriness.
