To calculate the index for the Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI).

Use to calculate the index for the Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI). The SPADI is a selfadministered subjective tool consisting of 13 items divided into two subscales: pain (5 items) and disability (8 items). Each parameter consists of a 0 to 10 scale with different meaning according to the subscale: - Pain scale: 0 = No pain to 10 = Worst pain imaginable, - Disability scale: 0 = No difficulty to 10 = So difficult required help. Three numeric results are calculated: - Pain index: sum of points from the 5 pain items, divided by 50 and multiplied by 100, - Disability index: sum of points from the 8 disability items, divided by 80 and multiplied by 100, - Total SPADI index: sum of points from all items, divided by 130 and multiplied by 100. The original SPADI research article and the subsequent validations do not provide specific cut off points to separate the results into levels of pain or disability. However, the higher the score in each scale, the higher the impairment to the shoulder function.

Not to be used to assess the pain or disability of other joints.
