Los Angeles Motor Scale (LAMS) stratifies stroke severity in the field.

To stratify stroke severity in the field.

LAMS is based on three parameters: facial droop, arm drift and grip strength. Interpretation: LAMS Interpretation <4 LVO less likely. Stroke is minor or moderate in severity, but may still benefit from acute treatment. ≥4 LVO likely. Stroke is severe and requires acute treatment. Transfer to stroke center with endovascular capabilities.
